Our team subscribes to the Westminster Standards, the Nicene Creed, and the Chalcedon Definition.
Christian
We confess the Christian faith summarized in the ancient creeds (Nicea, Chalcedon).
Evangelical
We believe in the good news that God rescues people from sin by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. Salvation is entirely the gift of God, it includes the forgiveness of sins through Christ’s substitutionary death on the cross and inner renewal through the Holy Spirit’s regeneration of the human heart. The inerrant and infallible Holy Scriptures are the final authority in all matters of faith and life.
Reformed
We believe that our confessional documents, the Westminster Standards, are a faithful summary of the Bible’s teaching. They have a high view of God, Christ, the Bible, the created world, the church and the sacraments, and they take seriously the human nature’s depravity after the fall. These standards are subordinate to the Bible.
The Reformed faith is one of the three main branches of the Protestant Reformation.
Presbyterian
This word refers to the specific way the church is governed. It comes from the Greek word – presbuteros – which means “elder”. Presbyterian refers to the form of church government which has the plurality of elders, both at the local and at the regional level, as its distinctive feature. Multiple presbyterian congregations form one church.
Our work is supervised by the International Presbyterian Church, a small European denomination founded by Francis Schaeffer.
