The Crawford Family

Meet the Crawfords

Quinn and Laura Crawford are both lifelong Mississippians, born and raised in Jackson. They were married in 2016 and are the parents of three children—Penelope (5), Whit (3), and Lois (1).

Quinn’s Story

Quinn grew up in the church and professed faith at an early age. Over the years, he has seen God’s faithfulness in keeping him, even through seasons of weakness and struggle. The Lord has used His Word to strengthen Quinn and the local church to disciple and shape him.

Laura’s Story

Laura grew up attending both a Baptist church and a Mormon temple, which impressed upon her the importance of knowing the Truth for yourself. She came to know Christ personally at eight years old during a Vacation Bible School.

As a teenager, Laura went on her first mission trip to Moldova, where the Lord began to stir in her a lasting desire to see the gospel take root there. She later earned a degree in Women’s Ministry Leadership from Moody Bible Institute and is passionate about discipling and encouraging women in their walk with the Lord.

A Shared Heart for Missions

From the very beginning of their marriage, Quinn and Laura shared a heart for ministry and missions. In their first year as newlyweds, they returned to Moldova on a medical mission trip—an experience that confirmed Laura’s earlier calling and deepened Quinn’s burden for the people there.

Over the years, they continued to invest in both local and global ministry:

  • Neighborhood outreach in South Jackson
  • Serving women impacted by sex trafficking (2017–2020)
  • Partnering with a local church in Central Asia (2018)

Ministry Experience at Sunnybrook

Between 2020–2023, Quinn and Laura served as house parents at Sunnybrook Children’s Home, working with transitional-age youth (14–21). Their time at Sunnybrook was a season of great growth in their marriage and ministry, as they relied daily on the Lord and walked openly before the students entrusted to them.

Looking Ahead to Moldova

Currently, the Crawfords live in the Fondren neighborhood of Jackson and are active members of Pear Orchard Presbyterian Church. Since 2020, they have sensed the Lord leading them toward long-term church-planting work in Chișinău, Moldova.

Though the COVID-19 pandemic delayed their plans, God has used this season to strengthen and prepare them for the ministry ahead. In Moldova, the Crawfords will be serving with International Xchange Organization (IXO) and will join Chișinău Reformed Church as members, laboring alongside the congregation in the work of planting and strengthening gospel-centered churches in Eastern Europe.
